Is a colombian municipal, located in the department of Boyacà. His altitude is 2114 meters over the sea. The average temperature is 16º C, is a cold climate. Boavita was fundaded by the Sir Hugarte on 1613.
The principal economy are the crops (dates, sugar cane of various kinds, tomato, coffee, cotton, parsnips, sweet potatoes, corn, peas, beans,) the livestock (reared cattle, horses, mules, donkeys, sheep, goats and pigs.), the mining (coal mines, there are also deposits of limestone and sand) and the industry (Produced paintings, canvas shoes, straw hats).
